    Fascinating presentation and includes interesting rare slide/photos of the actual tree after it fell. This program follows the route of the Charter Oak Tree bus and walking tour.


  • Hartford - City of Heritage
    Highlights of our daily, two hour bus tour, Hartford - City of Heritage. Covers all of our capital city from the founding in 1636 until today.


  • Mark Twain's Early and Later Years
    Rare photos and interesting stories which will expand your knowledge about Samuel Clemens aka Mark Twain. Covers his early years in Hannibal, Reno, California and later years at Quarry Farm in Elmira, N. Y. and his last home, 'Stormfield', in Redding, Ct. where he spent his final years and where he died in 1910, age 75. This program does not cover his 20-years in Hartford. (See Mark Twain's Victorian Hartford). This program is presented by our guide who also gives tours through Twain's Hartford home.


  • Amistad Sites (the Lost Eight Months), Underground Railroad and Freedom Trail - Farmington, Ct
    This interesting slide program follows the route of our Amistad bus tour and shows rare sketches of the actual Amistad Africans faces and their signatures.


  • Farmington - A Journey of 360 Years
    Covers everything seen on our bus tours of Farmington.


  • Connecticut - 200 Million Years to Yesterday
    This program is done without slides but with a large state map and covers geology, rivers, native Americans, early settlements and an early who's-who of Connecticut.


  • Covered Wooden Bridges of Connecticut and New England
    This unusual program covers various covered wooden bridge design and construction, large timbering held together with wooden "tree nails", plus slide/photos of old bridges no longer standing and locations of three original bridges still standing in Connecticut.


Each program takes about one hour. $90.00 per talk is based on presentation in the Hartford area and central Connecticut. For areas beyond, outside of Connecticut and international, please contact Heritage Trails. We come to you - your school, college, church, retirement home, historical society, group or organization.
